Borgo San Felice, a member of the Relais & Châteaux hotel group, is one of the most beautiful properties set in the Tuscan countryside. Borgo San Felice is located about 30 minutes from Siena, an hour and a half from Florence, and a little more than two and a half hours from Rome. It is truly one of the most spectacular properties.
Borgo San Felice is paradise as soon as you drive up its stone driveway. As the hotel used to be a village, the property is spread out across multiple buildings with a beautiful courtyard set in the middle. The grounds of Borgo San Felice are pristine and one of the highlights of a stay at Borgo San Felice.

The hotel has a perfect location on a vineyard and has so much to offer its guests. There are two incredible restaurants, one casual dining venue and another more formal, Michelin-starred restaurant. The Michelin-starred restaurant requires reservations ahead of time but is the restaurant for breakfast and lunch on the property. The food is fresh and delicious as you expect in Italy- and the complimentary breakfast buffet is fantastic.
There is a spa, a newly updated gym, tennis courts, and an beautiful pool. Borgo San Felice offers additional activities for its guests such as cooking classes, bike rentals, and a tour of the vineyard (just to name a few). However, these may come at a fee.

The concierge and staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and can provide any information or address any inquiry you may have while on the property. If you are looking to explore outside of the hotel property, Siena and Castello di Brolio are located within close proximity of the hotel by car.
While the property, in my opinion, is not geared to families and guests with children (i.e. there is no kids club and only one pool), there were plenty of children at the hotel while we were there and even more activities to keep them entertained while on vacation. It would be an idyllic destination for a holiday break, and I hope to return one day!
