Thermal Baths: One of the most unique activities while here is to visit a thermal bath. Budapest is actually known as the “City of Baths” and there are over nine medicinal baths located throughout the city. The most popular are Gellert Baths, Szechenyi Bath and Rudas Bath. The thermal baths are not solely for tourists, you will see many locals enjoying the baths for themselves.
Fisherman’s Bastion: Fisherman’s Bastion was built between 1895 and 1902. Fisherman’s Bastion offers incredible views of the entire city from the lookout tours and terrace. Its a definite must while in this historical and beautiful city.
Széchenyi Chain Bridge: The Szechenyi Chain Bridge is a famous bridge and another popular tourist destinations. The Chain Bridge is the first permanent stone bridge that connects the Buda and Pest sides of the city to one another.
St. Stephen’s Basilica: St. Stephen’s is a Roman Catholic church, named in honor of the first king. It is currently one of the most important tourist destinations and churches in the city. If you visit during the holiday season, there is usually an a Christmas market in the square located near St. Stephen’s Basilica.
Danube River: The Danube River is a central landmark in the city, and divides the city into two region: Buda and Pest. One of the most popular activities is to take a river cruise down the Danube River.
