Amalfi Coast is located in southern Italy and could perhaps be the most famous and beautiful destination in all of Italy. The Amalfi Coast is a collection of thirteen seaside towns that have some of the most incredible views and vistas. Amalfi Coast is known for its beach clubs, beautiful views, plenty of beaches, amazing restaurants, and so much more.
Where is the Amalfi Coast:
Amalfi Coast is located about an hour and a half from Naples and about four and a half hours from Rome.
How to Get to Amalfi Coast:
Naples is the closest airport to Amalfi Coast but it is also common to fly into Rome and take a train to Naples. From here, you can then take a bus, train or taxi/car to Amalfi Coast.
Best Time to Visit:
The most popular time to visit Amalfi Coast is from June-August. Summer in Amalfi Coast is hard to beat and is known for warm temperatures, sunny skies, and insane crowds. Prices are at its highest and temperatures are HOT. If you travel during the summer, I would highly recommend booking everything including hotels, restaurants, boat trips, etc, far in advance of your trip as they can book up quickly.
From my experience, the best time to visit is the second half of September to early October. The weather is still nice and the water temperatures are actually warmer than in the spring or early summer.
While you can visit Amalfi Coast during the off-season, it is a seasonal destination and most hotels and activities close from the first week in November until April (Easter weekend).
